I call mine the 7mm ARk.....laid out to work in the AR platform, k for kurz (short) ....shortened slightly to avoid inadvertently chambering a Grendel, not that it would hurt anything, we cross caliber fireform brass for our bench guns all the time....mainly to prevent having a blooper on a critical shot..

I've built (4) ARs and (1) CZ bolt gun so far.....finishing the 5th AR tonight for a range run in the morning and started the 2nd CZ yesterday....All were set up for supersonic....pretty easy to get a 120 Nosler moving over 2,800fps.....good bit of power in a small platform, something around 90% of a 7-08....haven't done any sub-sonic, so can't help you out with load data on that one...

6.8, 7mm, .30 ARk

I built a sub-sonic 7mm based on shortened SPC brass a while back....the
TAC7, around ~ 7 or 8 grains less capacity than the grendel, don't know if that will help much....

TAC7 line-up

This is pretty neat. Glad I thought of it...right after you did. I think I was right behind you with the 338X39 too?...shoulda just pm'ed you to see what you were thinking.

2800 for a 120 is pretty amazing, how long a barrel? Accuracy is good?
Who's barrel did you use? Do you have a source for the 7.62 CZ actions? My guy only has 223's and Hornets.

Growing a beard waiting for Rock Creek to supply the 6.5T.
I was going for subsonic using 162 Horn. and 180 Berg. ...Got a 6ppc bushing die cut out, still have to order the expander, stem, and sizer bushing. I'll get a 7br seater coming....thanks for the tip.

I mostly chase super-sonic stuff....

started on the .30, .338, and .358 a couple years ago for a few local shooters....then they just sat there...no real interest, probably shoot the
10.5" .358 the most....later found out that Lapua had a .338 version for something like five years...

The numbers looked really good laying out the 7mm, and they wern't too far off....in the popular rifle length AR barrels (18 - 20") the 7 smokes the .30....the case / bore / lenght compliment each other real well.....

20" 1:14 PacNor benchgun blank, pulled and cut for the AR

bolt gun would hold ~ .225" at 200yds, but thought .6 or .7 was pretty good for the AR

Unfortunatly I had to go the long and expensive route with the CZ....bought a x39 carbine, ordered a 20" pacnor blank, hs stock, etc.....my daughter confiscated it, then tells me she likes the wood stock better

The Redding neck bushing die works pretty good, open the hole a few thow....the stem is kinda a pain in the rear, found a RCBS 7 TCU tapered expander fits the small threads of the Redding die....The TAC7 (7mmSPC) is the only suppressed stuff I'm messing with right now, besides my Whispers and lil-ole baby MAC....The TAC really likes the 162 and 180 subs.....the 120 subs make a funny sound when they smack the plates at 200 yds, kinda like a ladyfinger firecracker going off, just noticable from the others....

TAC7
