Whatcha doin' for Thanksgivin'?

Well all, the time is nearing for us to partake in the yearly sacrafice of a poor defenseless feathered creature, for no other reason for us to reflect on the past, and be thankful for what we have.

Okay, okay, that was dorky in a kinf of funny way, but hey, it works.

So, what's every one doing? Traveling, staying at home?

My wife and I are doing our "normal" thing. Both of our families live within 20 miles of each other, and we live about in the middle. At about 1:00 we will eat at my parents home, then about 6:00 we will head to her parents.

Hopefully, the in-laws will deep fry another turkey this year. They have for the past 3, and mmmmmmm-boy! Them be good eatins! Deep fried turkey is soooo good. i would rather have it than normal oven turkey.

Oh well.....I'm done rambling now. Happy Holidays!

We have thanksgiving with my Father and try to spend some time over the weekend getting ready for deer season which opens the Monday after Thanksgiving. Unfortionately it looks like I wil have a 2-day deer season this year as I used up all my vacation time already for the whole year...

If I get lucky, my wife will let me play in the basement some over the long weekend as I would love to get some one of my AKs I have been working on finished. My AMD-65 just needs the holes for the rear stock parts and then install teh FCG parts and US Piston while my PMKM (Fixed Stock Polish Build) just needs a little wood trimmed from the stock so it fits into the rear of the receiver and then the same US Piston and FCG situation... It would be nice to get them done!

Then, my next build is going to be a Cut-A-Way AK! I have a bunch of misc parts I have been buying (Frankly I screwed up and I have more in buying a few parts here and there then I would have spent on an entire kit - LESSON LEARNED!) and I have all the parts I need to build. I am going to build this on a flat that I have that is pretty rusty and I want some more practice riveting before I try another keeper build. I just got Plinkers Rear Rivet Jig and I am anxious to see how well it works.

I'm cooking for the tribe of 6 over at the In-Laws. Fried Turkey is good but if you know how to roast in the Oven it's good too. ;)

We found out my wife's allergic to Peanut Oil and it doesn't taste the same when fried in canola oil, so back to the Oven for us - Thawing that 22 lb bad boy now. Going shopping for final items tomorrow, Yams and such.
