Polish WZ89 Onyks parts kit - Another addition to my Polish Collection!

I hope I didn't overspend on something that isn't all it is described as but I just picked up this Polish Onyks parts kit on Gunbroker:

http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=39795200

Quote:
This is a WZ89 Onyks kit in 5.45x39.5 that was assembled with Polish Onyks and Tantal parts. The numbers are all matching and parts are in very good condition. The Onyks was produced in very limited numbers by Z.M. Lucznik in Radom for the Polish military and is the most rare version of the Krinkov. The Onyks is externally very similar to the Russian AK-74U and was originaly designed for vehicle crews and adopted by police and special operations. It has a barrel length of 8.15" and a factory redesigned muzzle device to allow grenade launching. It has a prototype WZ90 handguard with heat shield. This kit is perfect for overhauling your class 3 weapon or building an NFA short barreled rifle. Buyer is responsible for checking their local laws before bidding.
PAID $699.00 + shipping

I will get much more photos and the like after I get the kit... I was planning to cut down one of my Tantial kits to build a clone and even if this is just a clone it will save me a bunch of work but for the price I do hope that it is more then "just" a clone...

Here is more info on these parts:

WOW! That's a very interesting parts kit. I wondered who bought it.

When you get the kit, would you be willing to show some close-up pics of it? Maybe even make a measured drawing on the booster/launcher muzzle device?

Those handguards actually border on cute...

Congrats on a very unique purchase!

I really do not know!

I got a reply from the seller after I bought this and I asked for more info on these parts and the kit as a whole... it says...

Quote:
The kit is pieced together with both Tantal and Onyks parts. The two weapons are Identical from the barrel trunion back. The barrel, gas piston, and gas tube, are Tantal parts cut down to Onyks specs. The Onyks handguard, Onyks late style muzzle device, and gas block combo are unique to the Onyks. The rear sight block rail was custom made for this build. These parts are very hard to come by and I have never seen a kit that came closer to the factory gun.
I will have to look it over much better after I get it!

That will be one sweet rifle. Are you going to SBR it or add a fake suppressor?

I don't think you paid too much for it. I've never seen one for sale.

Man, that's gonna be a sharp looking rifle when completed! I like that furniture. I have the same style lower guard on mine.

OK, I am getting ready to build this kit. I am going to build this as a SBR and I needed to get a bunch of photos of the kit so I can have a bulder or builders look at the parts to give me an educated guess of build cost.

I am not lanning to build this one myself as the parts would not be replacable if I was to have a slip with my 20-ton press, etc.

Here are the images:
