M9 Throwing

I've seen an M9 thrown quite accurately on one or two TV shows and I was wondering if this is actually possible. I can't seem to find this information anywhere and I'm rather curious, so if anyone knows, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks.

Throwing M9('s?)

I have used an M9 as a throwing knife before. It is balanced and actually works well for throwing due to its weight and size. However, due to the less-than-good quality of the blade and the force behind the knife when you throw it, the blade will snap easy after a few throws in a hard target.
