Purchasing a Suppressor???????????

I live in NC and am interested in buying a suppressor. I have read about several different ways of buying a suppressor. Does anybody know for sure about buying as an invidual vs a trust buying, or even a third way if there is one? Or is either one even possible? Best and quickest way of purchase. What happens to suppressor when owner passes away?
I am a licensed gunsmith what has to happen for me to legally manufacture a suppressor(that is after I find out building specs)??

A person or a non-person entity (trust, corporation, llc, etc) can own a suppressor. There is a lot of information on the subject. You would want to Google this for the most comprehensive information.

You can make your own suppressor AFTER you have filed a Form 1 AND been approved. Form 1

I know that only answers a couple of your questions. There is a lot of information out there. You will have to wade through it all.

Good luck

Cost

Any ideas of suppressor cost, include the $200 tax stamp. The suppressor I would like to purchase would be for a .30 caliber(30/221)

Ops Inc makes a 30 cal can that works real well. But there are many others. The 223 won't be as quiet with a 30, but still sound pretty good.

Silencers can run from about $200 (for .22 silencers) to about $2000 (.50 BMG silencers). Most silencers run between $500 and $1000.

I use a .300 Win Mag rated silencer for all my "big" guns. This is as quite on a .223 as any .223 can I have heard and I can use it on much more stuff.

For the Whisper, I load SS ONLY, I use a 9mm silencer as the wight is about 1/3 of the .30 can.
