Need 510 and .338 whisper info....

finally got a rifle to use for building up one of each 510 and 338 subs. I need to find the case dimensions for both as well as load data if possible. I can get the load data but need the dimensions for reamers and dies. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Frank

Parent case .338 Lapua Magnum
Case type Rimless, bottleneck
Bullet diameter .510 in (13.0 mm)
Neck diameter .549 in (13.9 mm)
Shoulder diameter .587 in (14.9 mm)
Base diameter .587 in (14.9 mm)
Rim diameter .588 in (14.9 mm)
Case length 1.875 in (47.6 mm)
Overall length 3.34 in (85 mm)
.
the .338 Lapua Magnum cut down to 1.885 inches (47.9 mm). Neck wall thickness is reduced to 0.013 inches (0.33 mm) and a small shoulder is cut into the body for head spacing.

amafrank,

I have just started to introduce a new line of custom rifles called the Thumper line. They are all based on the K.I.S.S. principle. The first one we are producing is the 50 Thumper built on a Remington 700. We will be coming out with the .338 Thumper shortly which will be based on an AR platform. The 50 Thumper is desititing on Hogs. You can see the 50 Thumper on our website and we will have the 338 Thumper up shortly.

The cases are quick and easy to make and inexpensive. Before you do the Whispers why dont you take a look at my website and check out the Thumper. I think you will like what you see.

Thanks Richard but I've already got things in the works. I have dies, reamers and cases ordered now. I have no interest in any AR's or anything based on them. I've got a changeable barrel rifle inbound as well so what I need is actual data on the cases and loads. I got some good info on the .338 from a board member so right now its down to the 510.

Redtazdog,
You've got two different case lengths in your post....1.875" and 1.885", can you tell me which is correct. The other thing I really need is the distance from the case head to the shoulder at the end of the turned case neck.

Thanks guys

Frank

thehouseproduct,

The parent case is a Winchester Short Magnum. We are currently getting quotes on having dies made.

amafrank,

We are currently working up loads for the 50 Thumper so I should have some data that will work for you shortly. What powders are you planing to use? We have gotten in from 600 to 700GR cast bullets, 694 gr ball and 750 gr A-Max. What bullets are you looking to use.
