Anyone use Lil' Gun for Subs?

A search for data on this subject has turned up sparse information. Has anyone used Lil' Gun for sub-sonic loading?

I am trying to finalize a load with 220 SMK. I am at 8.5gr right now and know they are subsonic. The groups aren't great. 8.7gr give much better groups but might be close to transonic. I am using a 16 in barrel from TP555 in an AR upper. Both loads cycle well and lock the bolt back. I have chrony on the way and will do more testing when I get it.

Sounds good. I'm looking for something that will shoot better than 1680 and still cycle an AR. When the weather improves, I'll give it a try.

Fritzcat, what barrel length and type weapon you using?

Glocksecure, where in SC are you? I'm near Clemson.

Columbia. My form 4 should be back soon (I hope). I am kinda waiting for it before I blow through a lot more ammo. I know the loads are stable and I won't get a baffle strike. This is my first attempt at reloading.

Look up innovativearms.com. It's the solutions can. I have one of his 22 cans, very light and quiet.

It's an AR with Ron Williams 10 1/2" Poygonal 1x8 and Paladin 3 way gas block in pistol position and YHM 9mm Wraith XL. The loads I like best so far is Horn 220gr-9.5gr-Lil Gun, Speer 200gr-9.2gr-Lil Gun, 175 FMJBT-6.5gr-Blue Dot, Nosler 168gr Match-6.5gr-Blue Dot, 150gr FMJFB-6.5gr-Blue Dot. All of these cycle and no sighns of pressure and quiet out of the 9mm Wraith.

loaded up with some LILGUN today. No luck though. Used 8.0 gr with 208 Amax and got about 1080fps, but wouldn't pick up another round after ejecting. Same thing with 220 Hornady RN, which didn't feed at all even manually. I'm using a tp555 barrel with gas block wide open, and a reduced power buffer spring. Standard spring worked even worse. I guess I'll have to try something faster. Does anyone think this could have anything to do with new rifle break in? It only has about 40rds through it.

Did the Lil Gun not work with the lighter bullets?
