Yugo type receivers

This is a bad start. My first post and I had to answer my own question. For those who are thinking about one of the Yugoslavian AK's, you can get a receiver from Marsh Hawk Arms (www.marshhawkarms.com). I have been in contact with Todd at Marsh Hawk and he told me that the receivers should be ready to ship by the end of the week.

The Yugo AK is an interesting variant. It's curious why the former Yugoslavia had a thing for grenade launchers on their pint size rifles (SKS & AK's)? The under fold kit that I received from Centerfire Systems is in nice, but dirty shape (except for the bore – that’s kinda worn. No chrome lining here.) The bluing is very light too; it shows just how heavily these rifles were used.

I’ve enjoyed reading the helpful “how to” postings. They helped quit a bit when I started my first kit build.

Thanks,

Ken
;)
