Who can put together an upper?

Gents,

I can't find what I'm looking for commercially. I want to use a VLTOR VIS upper with a gas adjustment front sight base and a high quality 30 cal barrel cut to 16" threaded 5/8 x24. I'd do it myself if I could ship the parts over here, but I doubt I'd ever get enough down time to put it all together. I'd like to have it all done when I get back from Korea next summer.

Thoughts?

Putting the upper together is pretty simple, I watched the videos on Brownells when building mine and it went together perfectly. You may check with ADCO firearms, they do a lot of services like that, might even be able to buy a lot of the parts from them.

1-8 twist bbl blanks are kinda hard to find now but i think tp555 or spook on these forums can chamber and port a barrel blank for you at 16" and threaded.

If you special order say a 30" blank from pacnor or shlien now it will be sitting at home when you get back ready for your build fyi. And if you get a shorty "say 9-11" bbl made out of the extra stock i am sure you could sell it for enough to almost pay for your 16"bbl

I had Lilja build my barrel, not cheep but good. They then sent it off to a gunsmith that he uses a lot who did the chamber, threading and gas block for me. I am sure he would do a complete upper if that is what you wanted.

I am very happy with mine. I would contact Lilja and ask them.
