My name is Bill and I use the name K75thranger in honor of my brother Frank who was KIA on July 8th, 1969 serving as a sniper with the 4th Infantry Division assigned to the 75th Rangers K Company. I have been collecting M-7 bayonets for about six years now. I only specialize in collecting the different variations of the M-7. I currently have 103 different types of M-7's, from the green handled Colt's (all three types), to the recent Chinese M-7's (in order to fit the AR-15 the crossguard ring has to be bored out). I have German, Belgium, Pananmanian, Thailand, Indonesian,Phillipino,Canadian,Australian, Israeli, North Korean, and South Korean variations. I have all the US manufactorers...BOC, COLT, CONETTA, FZR, GEN CUT, IMPERIAL, MILPAR, MIL-TEC, ONTARIO, and TAC. I was even lucky enough to get a Product Improved variation from the Army Ranger test trials in 1975 (number 33). I also have three of the Imperial Vietnam War Commemortive bayonets (US ARMY, USMC, and US AIR FORCE. If anyone has the US Navy variation in it's original presentation case, I would be happy to purchase it from you. Also any variations that you may have to add to my collection I would be interested in. If you have any questions about M-7's, feel free to ask, if I don't know I will find out for you

hey guys my names levi i've been collecting knives + swords for about 2 years now i mostly collect swords though i also have a 2 guns ( model 500S&M 30-06 bolt action rifle and a mosberg 20Ga. shotgun)

i'm 17 years old i live in Ga.


my faverite knife maker would probably have to be cold steel and my faverite sword maker would be kit rey hands down he's the best sword maker there is out there

Hello everyone, my name is Michael I'm 34 yrs. old, I live in ohio, have been collecting guns for bout 12 yrs now, I just started to collect knives bout a yr ago, my main hobby is fishing, I'm happily married 14 yrs now, have 4 beautiful children, and I hope to learn alot more about knife collecting, reason for joining the forum, heard and read alot of good things about this forum, my main choices for knives are buck, military issue, and autos. I hope to meet new and interesting ppl here in the forums and anyone here from ohio. Thats about it about me.

I just talked to a friend & fellow collector whom mentioned the M9 QB site to me. Then I recalled joining back in April, 2005 (but forgot all about it & had not logged in since!). Anyway, I see it has expanded quite a bit since those first members joined, and I will look forward to reviewing the many posts submitted since then.
My interest in M9s began about four years ago, although I had been aware of this bayonet system since the late 1980s. Initial reaction to seeing my first M9 back then was pretty negative. Having served three years in the USMC, I thought running around with such a bayonet like that (as opposed to the M7 I was issued), would have been like having a brick hanging from one's utility belt! I also remembered reading about the adoption of this bayonet by the U.S. Army, & how some politicians were bemoaning the fact it was too expensive a proposition.
In the 1990's while at the Great Western militaria show I saw Mr. Finn's big "product board", with M9s & other bayonet/knives he had for sale, but my interests lied elsewhere. In any event, about four years back, I picked up a used Phrobis "4-line" at a local swapmeet for $25.00. Somehow it seemed more appealing to me than in the past. Whatever the effect, it appears to have taken hold. Though I later upgraded that first example, there are plenty more which I have added since (some at a substantial increase in price, too!).

Hi. My name is Dan, and I make Handmade Military Combat knives .
I use a tri A symetrical grind inspired by the original Probis M9 Bayonet, which next to what I make is my favorite knife. The design is ingenious, and although many of todays knifemakers would say me wrong about that,
it is simply because they have never studied the knife.

I've been doing this for the past almost 12 years now.
Before that I was a law enforcement officer, for 20 years. I also during that time had a part time business selling machine guns to police depts.
I have a web site, http://www.relentlessknives.com and do a Support Our Troops program every year which includes sending knives to our men and women in harms way in Iraq and Afg.
I was invited here by a member Mr. Moon, who is a knife collector.....no, a
passionate M9 bayonet enthusiast, who I met, as he literally searched the world from his computer day and night for over a year in relentless persuit of an M9 Clear.
Although I have never had the pleasure of a personal meeting with Mr Moon, his Great interest and enthusiasim could not be over looked, and I'm proud to be a friend of his.
