Hello, newbie help?

my whisper will be here next week and I thought I would be getting brass from Davis, come to find out that his is out of the picture. I have lots of 223 LC brass, but after $$$$ for the whisper and dies powder etc, I don't have the mega bucks to buy corbon or SSK ammo, for startup brass. Is anyone else making brass?I think I am going to several hundred but a hundred or so to start would be great?

I was in the same situation earlier this year. I decided to just make my own. It really is not that hard to do. You can use a small pipe cutter to cut the 223brass just behind the shoulder and then form and trim to length. After a little practice, it went pretty fast. You could easily do a couple hundred in day. I did rig up my rcbs case trimmer to use a cordless drill. That made it much easier.

Joe

Here is all you need.

Are you talking about the "quick grips"? I think I got those at Lowes. The mod to trimmer is just a screw with the head cut off.
