.257 Roberts RCBS IMP

I have a Winchester M70 which I am going to rebarrel to .257 caliber. This has an intermediate length action which will allow an OAL of around 3 inches. I am thinking seriously of the .257 Roberts RCBS IMP. with its 28 degree shoulder, because I'm thinking that it may feed better than the Ackley Improved version.
I also have 1000 .308 cases and very much like the .257 DGR, but I think it is a bit of a waste of space in an intermediate length action, however I can neck the .308 cases down to .270 and then .257. Any comments?

You should be able to just run the 308 case in the 257 die but you may need to neck turn the case to get it to fit the chamber after seating the bullet.
