DPMS LR308 barrel suggestion for a build

Hi guys,

Any opinion if this barrel from fulton armory is any good?

Barrel, FA, Titan, 18.5", NM, Med, SS, 1x10, .936" Gas Block

*For Rifle Length Gas System

Any other better barrel alternatives?

I'm trying to build a rifle similar to the SR25 Enhanced match carbine as it is way too expensive for my budget.

Thanks,

miko

Thats actually pretty good.Blanks in carbon from the major mfg's cost about $200.Add $60 for the barrel extension and $120 labor. That would go about $400 or so.Variations due to blank cost can be expected.Still most dpms barrels are over gassed.I sell a lot of gas blocks to those peeps. How they shoot? I don't know. I make ar10 barrels usually in special cals you can't buy ( 338 federal, 338 wssm.358 wssm, 308 also). Pricewise not bad.The rest I don't know.

Sir,

In an 18" barrel, would a rifle length gas system work 100%?

Would it cycle everytime? I plan on using mil ball on my build

Don't know. Most 18" bbls go with intermediate gas tubes. You can tune by opening up the gas port if it has problems but that needs equipment and skills.
