6.5 Whisper?

Any one play with one? I know it dosent have the mass of the 308cal bullets but the 140g Noslers I am running are 1.31" long & they tumble.
I had a 6.5TCU reamer & an 8tist brl. Shortened a set of 6.5TCU dies & ran some 221FB brass through it. I seated the 140g Noslers out to 2.25. After some experimenting with the gas system it runs with 6-7g trail boss & VV tin star. 1050 to 1150fps wiith a 10.5" tube. Plus I ran them through a carboard box & the tumbled. They shoot around 1/2" at 50ds but I plan to get out to 100yds to see what they do. Shooting it is like a 22 sound wise & supressed(308can) it was 22 supressed quiet. Feeding was 100% out of Pmags.
I was just wondering if anyone has played with the 6.5W
Thanks

quiet with a can but much quieter in a tc barrel, sold it to fund a bigger
whisper

That is what caught my eye(ear). It was very quiet. Nothing like other weapons i have heard supressed. My plan is to get a 3 position gas block from TP555. This way I can run hotter light loads & have the ability to turn off the gas. I was thinking I would also install a left side charging handle for ease of operation with the gas turned off. Need to play with it more to see if it will shoot the way i want though.

Shooting the 139 Lapua or 142 Sierras subsonic would be very cool. Sierra just filled my order for 12,000 (yes, 12,000) 6.5mm bullets. Most of them 142s and 123s.

Then run the 107 or 123 Sierras supersonic would be a good choice.

Your barrel life would be less than with a 30, but barrels are cheap.

Are you refering to the throat in the brl not lasting as long? As for the loads, the powder burning 100% in 1" of brl travel spells a very cool weapon. The barrel takes a fair ammount of sustained fire to get warm. I plan to do alot of work with the upper tomorrow & see how she does.

Anybody ever stuck a 6.5 bullet in a 5.7x28 case? I did the other day, and it looks like a scaled down whisper. Would be a neat micro subsonic round. I don't know how you would get it to feed in anything though.
