Yep

Yep been running the 7.62x39 (.308 bore) in an encore and a bolt gun for over a year now. Good for you for putting out there. Don't know why more people have not looked at this round.

I'd be curious how the load data compares and how long a barrel your bolt gun is running, and whether you're shooting any high velocity?

Well it has been since last summer when I was shooting the 14 inch Encore barrel. If I remember correctly I ran 150g bullets at 6.5g of Tboss. The bolt gun I have been playing with is a 16.5 inch barrel. That gun I started running 180g RN (shorter bullet better for the can). I am running 7.5-8g of Tboss. The 180 really has a lots of energy behind it still. I plan on testing it on coyotes in a low pop. area (local orchards).
I have used the Red Dot and it was a bit to fast of a powder for me. It really seemed to generate to much to fast and loosen primer pockets. It is also very temp sensitive. I shoot year round and don't like to have to vary my load much. Temps go from 20-90f here.
I am going to start working on a 110g super bullet load and a 150g load maybe both super and sub.
