WTK: Where to buy Corbon Subsonic

All,

Thanks for the great resource here on the 300 Whisper! I'm building two AR Whisper Uppers and I'm looking to get some Corbon factory ammo in the 220 load before I start loading mine as a reference. I even called corbon and they told me they are out, because they are going thru the SAAMI process of getting it certified so it won't have .221 fireball on the cases anymore. Does anyone know of somewhere that has the Subsonic in stock?

ps. What is the best subsonic load for a 10inch 300 whisper AR upper with a Gemtech TPRS? I'm building one in 16 and one in 10inch.

thanks in advance,
alan

I did find a case of Corbon, but I'm still interested in good load data for the short 10inch suppressed upper.

thanks,
alan

FYI, Natchez (and everyone else) is out of the Corbon 220 gr. ammo. SSK has some of their handloaded 220 gr. ammo, 1040 fps, reformed 223 cases, for $75 per 50 (ouch!). This is overrun from a military contract. I really don't blame them for charging $1.50 per round - this is tedious work, and the Sierra bullets are quite expensive.

Corbon Inc. is unable to get anymore brass

I have been told that New River Ordance Inc used to supply Corbon Inc with brass made from LC 5.56 brass, well New River Ord. is out of brass so they aren't making anymore brass, SSK gets his brass from New River Ord as well, It was the only company that JD Jones would let make brass under the whisper name, i know Corbon tried to make its own 300 whisper brass out of .223 but gave up on it, said it was to much trouble. I was thinking of sending them a few thousand rounds of brass as a sample but don't want JD Jones crying that my brass is not right based on the fact I'm not paying him the right to call it 300 whisper. I can turn it out at a rate of 1000 rounds an hour. You can find it on stuff for sale.

I have bought Mr. Davis's brass. I'm glad I found him, you will be too. It's a great product.
