I would not want to recambering my 30 Carbine T/C contender to 300 BLK. The 30 Carbine has enough case capacity (21 grains) to shoot any bullet which the 1:10 twist rate will stabilze up to the speed of sound in a 10" barrel. I don't use it at all for supersoinic shooting. I have an M1 30 Carbine whichs shoot SAAMI 30 Carb just fine. I like the T/C best with 190 SMKs though 240's will stablize at the 6000' elevation where I shoot. It won't at lower elevations or in cold weather.
When I want a supersonic 30 caliber T/C Contender I just use a 30-30 Winchester. It will safely give considerably higher velocities than the 300BLK as it has 44 grains case capacity.
I also have a 300 Whisper TC barrel, but it too is 10" twist. That does cripple it for many uses. I don't think it would be any more useful in 300BLK. I regret buying it at all.
I doubt you can have your 30 Carb barrel rechambered and the extractor modified for less than you can just buy a used 30-30 barrel and keep your 30 Carbine barrel.
Just my take on it. I like my 300BLK 16x8T Rem 700 SA but I wouldn't pay to have a 300 BLK in any firearm with a 10" or slower twist.
