New guy with a 300Whisper

Hey guys I picked up a Whisper in trade and would like to work up some sub sonic loads. The gun is a 1-8 twist Douglas barrel on a trued remington 700 action. I have some worked over LC brass, SMK 220g, and some lilgun powder does anybody have a good place to start. I still have about a month left for my AAC Cyclone I would just like to be ready for when it comes in.

Start at about 9.2gr of Lil'gun, 220gr SMK, and work your way up or down from there. I like the N110 or 2400 better but each gun is a little different. You can definitely tell when you're going supersonic by ear and a chronograph will give you much more detailed info.
You may need to fiddle with the ejector to keep the remington from dropping the empty in the magwell. Some guns work great and others can't seem to hold on to the empty long enough to eject.
Good luck
Frank
