As regards 20 MOA mounts, I've used primarily the LaRue Tactical LT-111, but the Nightforce Unimount is pretty slick too. The LaRue removes without tools though and I like their outfit and products a lot. Class act all the way.

Uppers is a hard one as I used the ASA side charger in my 300 Whisper build, but have everything from Colt to LaRue, Wilson, Rock River, Les Baer and Spikes Tactical. Haven't kept up with a the latest except for the ASA. Lots of nice stuff from VLTOR, and others out there.

Sounds like you've assembled good stuff.

I have been debating going with the ASA side charger.

What are your thoughts on it?

The ASA build quality looks OK, and the machined swinging replacement that fills the void where the charging handle would ride is clever, but I haven't fired the rifle yet.

The ASA order folks managed to screw the order up completely and so I had to send it back and reorder. They tried to make it right by discounting the wrong item, but I didn't need an M4 pattern barreled upper, I just wanted the side charging upper receiver and bolt carrier. They did throw in a T-shirt, but the delay cost a couple of weeks with them sitting on my money from the first shipment. Wasn't impressed with that aspect of the deal.

I'm close to putting a few rounds together to op check the upper so I'll let you know when I find the time. Weather's been sucking, "spare" time is in short supply and I was missing a few pieces like the right powder. Now my Harbor Freight chop saw gave up the ghost after about 10 cuts so I'm back to dicking around with the hacksaw again.

Other than that it's all good. Buying prepped brass keeps looking cheaper all the time....
