Newb Questions

I have taken the plunge and decided to get a 300 Whisper. My Whisper is based on the AR platform. I was about to order some bullets and wanted to make sure that a load using the 240 grain Sierra Match Kings HPBT would be able to fit inside the AR magazine and reliably feed. The heavy bullets that I have found do not have a cannelure....is this a problem?

I'd also appreciate any advice that any of you could provide. Thanks

bullets

I have shot 125 grain all the way up to 220 grain bullets.. I have found the secret is to ALWAYS use Mag-pul followers ..
Even the cheap 10 shot mags work just fine once I put the mag-pul followers in. It reduces the capacity of the magazine , due to the greater height of the mag-pul follower, but that works perfect for hunting.
I have several 20 shot mag-pul magazines and have never had a mis-feed my guess is the you will have the same experience..
