the " 2 " ... " side-saw "

... probably not really important for the most part of people, but, for the collectors, the difference is real ....

left hand grind teath.

Hello Mr Moon
I have been a 184 collector for 20 years and have over 250 in my collection over 25 variations of the production issue mostly purchased as new in boxes with the receipts. I have both silver and black issues of the left hand grind teeth produced in 1996 with short spikes and small butcap .nexus 1996 clasps and with a generic buck picture box (with bar code) . at this time a run of blades was made with reverse teeth grinding (left hand) whether intentional or by mistake I dont know but they are fairly common in the very last run of production. I cannot see the snap on the front of the sheath but several of mine have BUCK logos but some are plain.
I have never seen or found left hand grinds on the earlier blade and would be interested to hear if anyone has one.

For sure NONE made in earlier versions AKA PRE PAT PEND Blades were made that way.
HOWEVER there were a few unique Custom one of a kind's made with weird and differant scallops on the chamfer.
In the PRE PAT PEND Blades some of the blades had the scallops put on them then they were sandblased/bead blasted. Some blades were sandblased/bead blasted then had the scallops put on them after. You have one heck of a collection. I collect the 184 also. Only have about 10. But a few jewels.

survivaledge,
Can you post some pics of you collection. This is the knife that started me collecting knives, mostly buck knives. I only have 3. I'd love to see 250 in once picture - might be my new computer background!
Thanks
