AR-15 Pistol Problems

Hi,

I have recently put together an AR-15 pistol, and am having a barrage of problems with the buffer. I have a 7.5" barrel, and the little 3" buffer tube. The problem I'm having is that i CONSTANTLY have to press the forward assist to get the gun to fire. Granted I've only pumped about 100 rounds thru the gun, and I know there is a bit of a breakin for parts to enjoy each others company, but i'm getting a bit irritated. Any suggestion, ideas??? Does anyone make a different style of pistol buffer?

this is sorta the wrong place to post this question.. for a couple of reasons.
One this is the area for posting problems you are having with the Forum... not general discusion or asking gun problems ( i dont mind, others might , but it is not likely to get seen by the "right" people here )

Second this whole forum does not deal so much with the AR pistol or otherwise as much as it does with certain chamberings ( .300 whisper in particular)

My suggestion would be to go to the AR15.com board and ask there....
here is a link to a thread over there that pretty much beats this subject to death, caution ! there are 14 pages of posts! I would suggest you sit back and read them all! lots of good info.

Good luck, I am starting today to build one of them little critters, check back and we can compare notes.

Wrong Place???

If we have an AR-15 topics forum, then we can ask AR-15 topics.
Can`t we?

Two things guys.. Ok I am not feeling picked on just setting the record straight.
First... check the date on the original post. When I made the reply that link WAS valid and has most likely moved since then. It also covered the question in depth and I beleive by the lack of any other timely responses it was more helpful than anything he received here. Second it WAS posted in the wrong place. It was posted in the Board questions and problems area. It was not in the ar-15 area. again my freindly and helpful post seems to be more timely and to the point than any other reply.

Again I am not offended or taking this personal, just pointing out that it was intended to be a helpful and informative post, Lets try to keep them that way.
