Can I use a Savage/Stevens blind magazine .223 for my .300 Whisper conversion?

I've been reading some and it seems that the .223 action is good to go but what about the blind magazine option? It's a .223 mag box and follower so it should be okay, right?

Thanks,

Paul

Yes built two on those actions with the blind mags and feeding and function were 100% with no tweaking necessary. They started life as .223 Savage Rifles. If you are looking for a barrel hunt down Spook on this board, he did one of the barrels I used and it was outstanding in fit, finish and accuracy.

Dude, that is very cool. I can't wait to get mine going. So many projects, so little time.

That is such an understatement! LOL

The 300-221 is responsible for me spending a lot of time and money building a metal shop because I was too cheap to purchase a commercial can. So I want to build one on a Form-1.

Well the thing with Form-1 cans is they are a lot like potato chips. You can't have just one.

And when you get tools, there are those other things you want to do with them. Like I want to build a floating camera mount for my motorcycle.

It's a never ending ride.
