What is this?

Is this a left over blade from the origanal gen. cutlery blades just stamped with the late markings? Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=140309565381 From what i have read i can't find a blood grove on a lancay with this stamping! Thanks for any info u may have!

I've dealt with and have had many conversations with czjet over the years. If you look back you will see that he has posted to this forum in the past. He's an upstanding man. He has gotten many interesting things from Lan-Cay.

This looks like a first contract wide fuller blade that has been stamped with the later Lan-Cay marking. It also has a Product Improved scabbard and a 2005 dated Fastex. It is not a first contract bayonet, nor does the ad claim it to be. It isn't necessarily a Gen-Cut blade, there were also LanCay manufactured bayonets with the wide fuller.

I wasn't questioning him. I was just looking for some info and knew that if i asked, someone here would know. I just like to get some background info on the bayos i'm looking at. I am just starting to collect and like to learn as much as i can! Its still an intersting bayo that i have never seen before so I thought i would get my answer on here. Thanks so much! Bill
