Need help with a Buck

Hello, I've got a Buck 184 U.S.A.. It has marks on the blade from the case. A compass in the cap that does not work. With fishing line, hooks, weights, needles and a flint striker in the handle. The handle is painted OD green with black not sure if that is original. The two small bags are camo. The case is not the original one. The original one the male snap was broke. So I sented it to Buck to have them fix it and they sent this case back to me. It now has Buck Pat. Pent. on it. Plus I have shapened the blade. It is straight and the tip is great. So can anyone tell me the value of this Buck. Thanks

I have not seen one that doesn't have Pat. Pent. on it on e-bay. They are a great knife. Does anyone know are they still carryed by the military? May be better or different type of knife now.

Old post but what the heck. THE military had the 184 for a short time in the early 80's and only the SEALS. It was never offical issued to all SEAL Teams. The 184 played havoc on there hands and ripped them up. So very short lived. The late Great Mickey Finn father of the 184 then morphied the Buckmaster to the M9.
