When you can't find load data from data published by the case designer the way to relaibly get usable information is to:

1. measure the case capacity by by mesuring the case with and without filling it level to the case mouth with water.

2. measure residual case volume with your bulelt of choice loaded to your desired seating depth. That can be done by measuing the base of the bullet carefully and subtracting its volume from the case capacity or weighing the assembled dummy cartridge with and without the case filled with water behind the bullet.

3. Then put that data along with the bullet characteristics into an interior ballistics computer program. I highly recommend Quickload both to select a sutibable powder and to provide sensible starting loads. You can also see if the cartidge and bullet is capable of acheiving desired performance within it's pressure limits before shootiong it.

Using load data on a small cartridge, particularly a wildcat whcih doesn't have exact specifications, without speciying the exact bullet model and seating depth is in my opinion dangerous.

Working up loads carfully while shooting across a chronograph until calculated velociites (muzzle energy) are achieved while watching for pressure signs will produce safe and functional loads. I might take loads from a stranger on the Internet to check as a starting point but I'd never shoot them without comparison to other sources.

LouBoyd,
Thank you very much. This justifies my getting the program.
