5 or 6 groove pac-nor barrel?

Which should I get if I want to one day have the option of shooting 220 gr subsonics?

I already have a barrel length picked out. I know I should get the 8" twist rate. Just need to know whether to order a 5 groove OR a 6 groove barrel? Does it matter that much?

Thanks for any info,
Keith

I'd vote 5 grove, less friction.

I'm thinking the 5 groove would be better though I can't give you any real reasons...I bought the 3 groove after reading some stuff published by benchresters about cleaning. The 3 groove barrels do have less corners for crap to hide in but the surface area seems on the high side creating more drag. I do like odd numbers for the lands and grooves as I think it helps with balance.

Ive used the Pacnor 1x8 Poly twice now & I have been real happy with it.
It uses 6 grooves. Ron

I use 6 as a rule but I'm not sure it matters. I've used 3, 4 , 5 , 6 and 7 with good result.
