Question on M8A1 Scabbard for M7

I'm hoping someone can help me on this, I ordered on ebay of course, and new unissued M8A1 scabbard with a tag in the bag, and after receiveing it I noticed it has a plastic green body and at the end where the leg tie is theres no metal tip cover, yet everything else on the scabbard looks to be like the original, it does say m8a1 and thats it nothing else, so I'm now wondering where there scabbards made for the us military that were plastic bodies or do I have a fake (reproduction model), heres some pics so anyone can see and see what you think. Thank You.

Heres links to the scabbard I have:

Hi Jedimac ... i've got too this type of scabbard . I'd buy that some month ago with the bayo : Model original COLT M7 made in USA not germany.

Perhaps others friends here know well the M7 story ...

Here's a excellent article on the USM8A1 scabbard:

I do not believe the scabbard you have is US military issue.
