Commercial or Mil-Issue

Hello,
I have a militaria show coming up and plan to sell a couple of my Lancay M9s that I believe are the cheaper commercial oddities rather than military issue and would like to confirm with more seasoned members here. The first is a first contract lookalike with the second contract "Lan-Cay" markings. The scabbard is more of a pea green color than an OD color, has a stone sharpener and the fastex is dated '03. The second is a second contract lookalike with the first contract "LanCay" markings. The scabbard is an OD color, no stone sharpener and the fastex is dated '92. TIA

Lan-Cay marking with a wide fuller is definitely not a military piece. Fuller was eliminated long before the "-" was added to LanCay. If I remember correctly, 2003 was about the time that these showed up.

The second bayonet looks to me to be an early second contract; LanCay (no hyphen) and a hollow ground blade, Product Improved scabbard. These were from around 1994, so it is conceivable to have a 1992 dated Fastex. It's impossible to say that this was a military contract piece, but it is of the proper configuration to be.
