Beretta 96 to 92 - 40S&W to 9mm conversion - Upper Swap

Well, I will make this post more sensible by saying that I am a Glock kind of guy and I have never owned a Beretta and I really don't plan to buy one anytime soon...

Just the same, my brother purchased a Beretta 96 and I was tasked to see what would be required to convert the Beretta 96 to a 92. That is what this thread is all about...

(I welcome any other advise or oppinions...)

This thread indicates that a Beretta 96FS Frame can be converted to a Beretta 92 through the purchase of a 92 upper. When this is done it is also necessary to purchase a 92F (Not FS) Hammer Pin from Beretta.

96 pin is part# C55055

92 pin is part# C54946

Another person in that thread indicated they used a Beretta 96 pin and just ground down the head to allow it to work.
