subsonic 5.56

Hello,

I have been reloading for a while now and I really enjoy it, but am looking for some new challanges. I own a gemtech suppressor for my AR-15 and would like to tinker with making a sub-sonic round. I like how quiet the suppressor is, just would like to loose the sonic boom... and heck I am needing some new challange. What I don't want to do is destroy or damage a perfectly good AR-15, etc.

Other then dies, and all the standard reloading hardware, what do I need to start this project? E.g. Anyone have a formula they want to share so I can start somewhere? I assume that a 55gr bullet is going to be too light, and I probably need to use handgun or shotgun powder... but I am not too sure where to start. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
