Why wouldn't gas checked cast bullets work just as well? Are we talking about a softer lead alloy? or what? I think a custom mould with all the bullet features you want (bore rider, crimp grove at the right location, spire point etc.) would be less trouble.
Getting a consistant coating is going to be hard.

Using a suppressor so can't use GC cast bullets, Want to keep the lead enclosed in something so that no issue of baffle strike or leading on the sealed can come up. And yes I would like a bullet that is soft enough to expland at 800-1000 fps impact velocity.
