If you’re talking M16 auto sears it would not work, you would need to drill the hole in the receiver. Having a receiver with a hole for a sear makes it an MG now you’ve just made an illegal MG.
I’m sure allot of other guns would be the same AK47 comes to mind. I think most after market sears mount in the host gun in a different position than a factory sear that way when removed you can not just install factory parts to make it run full auto.
