The subject of this thread is the powders that work well in the 300-221 Fireball aka 300 Whispler. I have reloaded the following powders
Hodgdon Lil-Gun
Hodgdon H-110
Alliant Reloader 7
Accurate Arms #9
Hodgdon H4227
Winchester 296
For super sonic loads, I have found W296 to produce the tightest groups (<1.0-inch at 100 yrds) and pretty good velocities. I consistently get the top velocities with Hodgdon Lil'Gun but the groups tend to run ~1.0-inch at 100 yrds. I get the best groups (<0.7-inch at 100 yrds)with AA#9 but the velocities are only modest.
For sub-sonic loads, I have found AA#9 to be one of the best... tight groups and very consistent velocities even with pretty large temp. changes.
I would like to try the following powders
Alliant 2400
vihtavuori N-110
Accurate 1680
I would like to hear about peoples experience with these as well as other powders including the one I have listed.

The loads listed under "Not yet verified user loads" are the one that I have shot with the exception of loads#:

Most of thse loads were shot and chronographed at an indoor range so the temps at the tme were 70 F +/- 3. The elevation here is ~240 ft.
