I think any right thinking rifle nut would like to have all of there rifles to group under 1 inch. I had a Savage .30-06 that would not group under 1 1/4" with any thing but military 150 grn ball ammo.
The thing was with that ball ammo it would group consistantly under 1/2", only ball ammo is good for targets not hunting.
The beauty of working with a rifle is getting it to do the best it can do combined with the best that you can do. Its seem to me to be part of the fun.
So keep working on the Ruger 1-B, I know there are people out there that can give you some pointers on how to help the accuracy.
