Actual measurements done tonight....39" overall with the can and 29" without.
Thanks D-Mon for the info. I did remember the french Anthis round though I didn't know about the rifle. I know there was another rifle very similar to the SRS that was made in Germany a few years back. I think it was the inspiration for the SRS. They could be had here in the states but were very expensive and hard to get. It was called the DSR-1 and may have been offered in the Anthis cal as well. As you say.....nothing new.
