As of right now I have no accuracy data on the Desert tactical setup with this barrel. I've only fired 2 shots to check the chamber and function. The weather here is cold and windy so not very conducive to testing. I'll get to that in the not too distant future. The barrel is 17" long and I'm not sure of the overall length. The can is 10.5" and on my 26" .338 Lapua mag barrel it has the same overall length as the SAKO TRG42 with no muzzle brake....about 47". I'm guessing from that info that the length with the can is about 38" and without is about 27.5" . I'll get out the tape measure today and let you know.
As for the PacNor barrel blanks they've been pretty good. I like the Lilja barrels better but the wait time is even longer. If I'd known PacNor was going to be 14 weeks on the last batch I'd have gone with Lilja....both are good barrels and I've had no problems with either. The Lilja's just seem to machine nicer. I've decided that with suppressors the only way to go is stainless. The cans condense too much moisture out of the powder gasses and chrome/moly takes a lot of care and cleaning to keep from rusting.
I'll get back with answers as soon as I can get them....
