My dad has a machine shop. He has an engine lathe and milling machines. His lathe is very old and needs to be replaced.

We are not familiar with engine lathe manufacturers and need advice on what manufacturer to go with. A salesman suggested a Lion Engine Lathe Model 20-MS-4 (20” x 60”) with a 4” Spindle Bore.

I realize that there are many different manufacturers, but we would like to get input on which ones are the best and also which ones to stay away from.
