Not all of it does. It completely depends on your chamber.

Older SSK chambers are a touch on the tight side and may require neck turning for chopped 223 brass to work.

There is such a thing as 300/221 and 300/223. They are two different calibers. The 300/223 is just a 223 necked up to 30 caliber.

However if you think you have a 300 Whisper chamber designed to work with cut down 223 brass, go ahead and use Redding 300/221 (aka Whisper) dies.

If this gun has not been built yet, ask your gunsmith *exactly* what case length you should trim to. If he says 1.350-1.400 than you have a Whisper chamber and you can use Whisper dies.
