Just by your description, the hole the alignment pin sits in needs enlarged. Then, a piece of steel rod turned to press fit into the enlarged hole. Then the top part of that pin turned to the diameter of the hole in the Jig.

This is just my thought, actual milage may vary.

Don't worry about the timeframe on getting the Jig back out. Family first, then playthings :-)
