It will take the edge off but at 1500+ you'll still have the crack of the bullet breaking and sound barrier and the noise of the bullet in flight. According to my research once you break speed of sound the noise goes up substancially.
With a 1:10 twist you might try your 150's out of it with just enough powder to get to to 1050 or so - that's under speed of sound but should be short enough bullet to stabilize and keep noise to a minimum - you could also try some of the 110 30 carbine bullets at 1050 fps.
