Project Savage 112 in 300-221 Fireball

I finally got my Savage barrel wrench Friday and could finally get to work on this project. Here are a few pictures I took as I progressed. Now I just need my reoading dies I have on backorder.

Barrel is 13.5" with a YHM QD flash hider that is perm attached to bring it to 16.25" overall length.

I will also engrave the barrel with the caliber. It will get finished in Dura-Coat ACU pattern. I'll update this thread as I get more done.

Barrel blank worked down so the profile is true to the bore, final size was 1.050".

Receiver threads cut 20 TPI.

Muzzle cut to correct dia for 5/8" threads.

Threaded 5/8"x24

YHM 308 QD screwed on.

Left side, assembled

Right side, assembled

Finished for now, barrel got a quick coat of paintplating (just to keep the barrel from rusting).
