Why don't you collect the Buck/Phrobis also? There are many nice pieces for sale on ebay.
As for the corrosion coating, I have the impression that the finish used on the Buck/Phrobis M9s is much better than the one on the Lan-Cay or Ontario's.

I do prefer the grey finish on Phrobis/Buck M9s than the black sandstone look.

I have one Phrobis at the moment, and a Buckmaster 184 of some sort (possibly a clone), I will post photos when I return home.

At the moment I have three more Lan-Cays on the way. M9 in white, black and OD.
