LanCay Shallow Fuller M9

Hello Rex,

Welcome to the forum. This is undoubtedly the best place on the web to find information on the M9 bayonet. I know that you and I have gone for some of the same bayonets on ebay in the past. There seems to be a growing interest in them which makes it harder and harder to pick up good pieces at reasonable prices. I'm just glad that I started collecting them in 1987 before anyone was really interested in them.

If this works correctly, I'm posting three photos below of a regular fullered first contract LanCay and a shallow fuller LanCay. It is a fairly hard piece to find as the only made somewhere aroung 300-350 of them before eliminating the fuller completely. Be careful, though, as there are some later manufactured ones floating around. These can be identified by the company marking "Lan-Cay".
