I don't think I would call it cheap. But it isn't so expensive as to put it into the rich man's play thing territory. You are getting what you pay for.

I agree. I like the ideal behind the Savage platform. Seems very user friendly. And Mr. Spook can hook me up with a barrel when the time comes at a fair price. My next purchase (after this night vision thing) will be a 30 caliber can. Then I'll play with it with my .308 until I can hang the Whisper barrel on my .223 rifle. (Wait, NV, .223 Savage, then can, then whisper )

Then I'll be good to go until something shiny in the bushes distracts me and it's off to the races!!
