To be honest, when I decided to start collecting bayonets I choosed to collect the M9 only.
To justify the great amount of money I sometimes spend for a single bayonet, there is no space in my collection for something else (chinese copies or bayonets based on the M9 design), or I will not be able to afford more M9s.
For example, I was offered a Marto bayonet (the same design as the trial one), but I declined.
Then came the decision about the multi-colored LanCays.
I decided that, as for the commercial models, it was better to focus the collection on the variations that I liked more.
So I preferred to focus on the commercial Buck/Marto M9s as I like them more than the Lan-Cay and they were made in lesser variations.
At the end it is a personal decision.
