first blood for my .300 whisper

Shot a small feral hog with my .300 whisper carbine over the weekend. I was shooting the 125 grain Ballistic tip over 20/296 for 2300 FPS (18" brl). It was moving uphill at 50 yards or so and quartering away. I shot behind the ribs to exit the shoulder, the exiting bullet also hit and broke the off side leg. At the shot the hog turned 90 degrees and ran 20 yards till he hit a fallen tree and went down. He was still kicking when I got there so I shot him behind the ear. I was very happy with the penetration and damage to the lungs/liver. Hope to wack a deer this fall.
