Thanks for the replys folks but I've paired it down to a choice between just those two.

The way these two scopes work when you set the magnification to 1 power is the illuminated "brackets" shrink...

I need to make a decision on a scope for my 300 BLK subsonic rifle. I'm leaning toward the Vortex Viper HS 1-4x24 with the TMCQ Reticle @ $480 or the Weaver Tactical Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 1-5x 24mm...
