As a perk for our work on this project Barnes gave us an exclusive until after the SHOT show. We feel we have them priced very reasonable and we have a good qty in stock for immediate delivery....

A PT&G Whisper reamer and a 300 Blackout reamer have very different throat lengths, the long throat on the BLK is what makes light bullet (110-125gr) supersonic accuracy harder to achieve.

Lancer 20rd, you can load full with short OAL and 15 or so with long loaded ammo

Pmag 20rd with the guts from a 30rd Pmag, works perfect for short...

From what I've seen so far it's negative, my test bbls chambered in 300/221 shoot better than 300AAC chambered ones, mfg and bore spec the samel

As a reference "match" chambers in .223 and .308...

Comparing 300 Whisper and 300 BLACKOUT chamber reamer prints I see the following differences:

Throat (lead) is .001" larger on the BLACKOUT
Throat is .0235" longer on the BLACKOUT

Based on the 6 bbls I've been testing (4 300AAC and 2 300 Whisper chambered) the Whisper chamber is more accurate with supersonic loads because the BLACKOUT has a much larger and longer throat area...

Supersonic accuracy loads

Anyone out there willing to share their accuracy/hunting loads with me? I'm playing with 1-8 and 1-10 twist in both 11" suppressed and 16" non-suppressed with a 300AAC chamber.
