So....I don't buy the argument that you need heavier bullets to get it to cycle,...

I have an 8" barrel, with 175 m118s I use 8.5gr of lil gun, and 8.8 with 200 gamekings and it runs great semi and full with the can...

A regular mag stack of 55gr 5.56 bullets is 1650gr, a mag stack of 200gr gamekings is 6000gr.

The bolt may be over riding the stack from the additional weight...

sounds like a pistol barrel land/groove ratio, a shot-out pistol barrel.

.299 to .300/.308 is what I would think you would want in a .308 rifle barrel.

To use my 20 round de-ribbed PMAGs for prone or from the bench, I put 30 round PMAG followers in them to stop the tilting. Lost a couple rounds capacity but they worked 100%.
